WhatsApp payment Method

WhatsApp Payment

WhatsApp Payment, a payment feature operated by Facebook,                                                Is now available in India for up to 20 million users.                                                                    The State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC, ICICI, and Axis Bank are among the banking partners who have helped launch the facility.                                                                                              WhatsApp Payments may be a rival to Paytm, Google Pay, and PhonePe, among other digital payment applications.                                                                                                          WhatsApp Payment is based on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) scheme of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). In November 2020, it was given permission to go live on a peer-to-peer basis.

Users can send money securely and conveniently using the WhatsApp Payment function, which works similarly to sending a message via WhatsApp.

Abhijit Bose, the head of WhatsApp in India, said the company is honoured to work with SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank to introduce easy and safe digital payments to WhatsApp users across the world.

"UPI is a revolutionary service, and we have the ability to introduce the benefits of our digital economy and financial inclusion to a large number of users who previously did not have complete access to them," Bose said.
